Ms. Tyler has been a voice teacher with Calvary Music School since its opening in 2001. She is also a vocal coach for the Greater Middletown Chorale.

Ms. Tyler has been featured as soloist in the US and Europe with groups such as CONCORA, the Greater Middletown Chorale, the Mystic River Chorale, Cappella Cantorum, and the Stonington Choral Society. She was a soloist with Con Brio in the U.S. debut of Vivaldi’s newly discovered work, Dixit Dominus. Ms. Tyler worked with
composer Morton Lauridsen on Sure On This Shining Night, a recording of his pieces with the professional chorus Voce. She has recorded with Archangel Voices as a soloist on four critically acclamied albums of Byzantine chant.

Ms. Tyler was chosen by the composer, Christopher Montgomery, to create the role of “The Goddess Diana” in the debut performance of his opera Callisto with the renowned contemporary orchestra Alarm Will Sound. She has sung with Connecticut Opera, Connecticut Lyric Opera and Salt Marsh Opera, performing roles such as “Filippyevna” in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, “Mercedes” in Bizet’s Carmen, “Marcellina” in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, “Marthe Schwerlein” in Gounod’s Faust, and “Kate Pinkerton” in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly.

As a director, Ms. Tyler has appeared with the a cappella Renaissance ensemble Halcyon. She also created and directed a Renaissance Christmas pageant. For many years, Ms. Tyler was the lead singer at Calvary Episcopal Church. She is currently a soloist and section leader at South Congregational Church in New Britain, and a frequent guest at Calvary Church as well as many other churches in Connecticut. Since 1996, Ms. Tyler has had a weekly radio show on WCNI, New London at Connecticut College, playing new music from a wide variety of genres. She lives in Pawcatuck, Connecticut.
